Such an interesting take on the subject of AI and artists. Well thought through. I love websites and was a bit sad that people were abandoning them for FB page only.

Of course it’s only a theory. And even if it works, tech companies will find a way to claw people’s attention back. At least that of some people.

But I’m going to give it a bloody good try!

Always great to know that not only is Amazon the worst place on earth for authors to try and stand out amid the slop, but that even if you deliberately search for something you can’t find it. COOL! 👌

Glad Chat-GPT found it. I do wonder if it has any knowledge/memory of your connection to the book from previous chats or data. 🤔

(Either way. Thank you for using it as the example! 🥳)

Chat GPT wouldn’t have any memory of previous chats because I normally use Claude or Gemini. But I wanted to use it as the example as it’s the one that most people are familiar with. It’s definitely got better than when I first used it.

Another great read, Alex! You say you are revising your website "to provide lots of information for the bots and potential readers." Can you explain more, or give examples? I'm intrigued!

This is really interesting, thanks for sharing! I am going to listen to that podcast! On a related note, check out what Cloudflare is experimenting with in making a marketplace out of bot scraping. I am fascinated by the prospect, if it can gain traction…https://blog.cloudflare.com/content-independence-day-no-ai-crawl-without-compensation/
